Stone Hop Revolver IPA is an American IPA brewed by Stone Brewing, and for the purposes of this craft beer review, the ale was served in an IPA glass from a bottled.

The IPA pours a relatively clear golden orange and is topped by a thick stack of rocky off-white foam that shows good retention. The head’s reduction leaves behind gobs of sticky lace along the sides of the glass.

The aroma is faint but wafts a scent of pine and stone fruit.

The palate begins with a taste of toasted bread and finishes with a bite of pine, citrus, and some resin. The bitterness lingers through the finish and is countered by a sweet note of syrupy peaches. A hint of booze is picked up as the beer warms.

Its feel is smooth and dry with a crisp finish that’s mildly astringent. Its body is medium with matching carbonation. Finishes with a modest warming sensation.

Its appearance is solid and while it’s aroma isn’t particularly strong, it is pleasant. The palate is nicely hopped with a good malt balance. A bit of booze adds some complexity. The Stone Hop Revolver IPA is rather straightforward but is a well-crafted brew. Easily crushed. You’ll probably like it.
