Pinedrops IPA is an American IPA brewed by Deschutes Brewery, and for the purposes of this craft beer review, the ale was served in a tulip pint glass from a bottle.
The IPA pours a clear gold and is topped by an inch-thick off-white head that recedes slowly. The reduction leaves behind small patches of lacing.
Aromatics of juicy orange and fresh pine lead the nose.
Its clean palate showcases a hoppy pine that’s backed modestly by a taste of caramel and biscuit malt. Tasting finishes dryly with a lingering bite of grapefruit.
The feel has a medium body with slightly less than moderate carbonation.
The Pinedrops IPA tastes lighter than expected, and while it weighs in at 6.5% ABV, this IPA is an easy crusher. It’s a delightful refresher for warm, sunny days.
