Flesh & Blood is an American IPA brewed by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, and for the purposes of this craft beer review, the ale was served in a tulip pint glass from a bottle.
The IPA pours an amber hue and is topped by a thin head that dissipates rapidly.
The aromatics are pleasant with a scent of citrus juices.
A juicy palate is loaded with citrusy flavors of lemon, grapefruit, and orange. A base of caramel and bready malts lend balance.
Its feel has a medium body and moderate carbonation.
The Flesh & Blood’s palate is balanced nicely and quite easy to drink.
Dogfish Head recommends the following food pairings with their Flesh & Blood IPA: aged cheddar, jerk chicken, ceviche, and pineapple upside down cake.
