Death By Coconut is an English-style Porter brewed by Oskar Blues Brewery, and for the purposes of this craft beer review, the ale was served in a tulip pint glass from a can.
The porter pours a mahogany hue and is topped by a tan head that offers a little retention and lacing.
The aromatics are delightfully intense with a scent of coconut and coffee.
The palate packs rich flavors of coconut and coffee backed by a bittersweet mixture of roast malt and chocolate.
Its feel has a medium body and moderate carbonation.
The Death By Coconut is a fantastic drinking experience. Its aroma is amazing and it tastes wonderful. With such a flavorful palate, it might seem like its feel should have more heft, but as this is a porter, it’s spot on. If you enjoy a roasty dark beer with coconut and chocolate, this one is a must.
