Brooklyn Brown Ale is an American Brown Ale brewed by Brooklyn Brewery, and for the purposes of this craft beer review, the ale was served in a mug from a bottle.
Pours a clear, chestnut with an inch-thick cap of cream-colored foam that reduces slowly. Generous patches of lace coat the glass.
The aroma is faint with a scent of mellow pine and caramel.
The palate has some of the expected flavors like caramel, nut, and chocolate. Finishes dryly with a herbal hop bite.
Mouthfeel has a medium body and moderate carbonation.
The presentation of the Brooklyn Brown Ale is spot on but the flavor was overly-hopped for my tastes. It’s certainly palatable but you can find better Brown Ales out there.
Brooklyn Brewery recommends the following food pairings with their Brown Ale: steaks, burgers, stews, barbecue, roast pork, venison, and sheep’s milk cheeses.
