Beer tourism has become a cottage industry in the craft beer world. And now beer-loving travelers will have a new destination. BrewDog has announced that it will open its beer-themed DogHouse Hotel next year at the brewery’s headquarters in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
“The DogHouse is our gift to passionate craft beer fans making the pilgrimage to our brewery in Aberdeenshire,” BrewDog co-founder James Watt said. “The idea of opening a beer hotel has always been high on our agenda, and now we are finally able to realize that dream, right here at our HQ. This will be the ultimate destination for craft beer fans seeking hops with their holidays. This is a beer Nirvana.”
DogHouse will have 26 rooms with views overlooking the brewery. Guests will be able to watch workers craft the beer while also sampling fresh brews from the room’s taps. Shower beers will become a reality as guests can enjoy a cold one from the bathroom’s beer fridge.
Since 2009, BrewDog has launched a series of crowdfunding campaigns to make its DogHouse Hotel a reality. 73,000 craft beer lovers have raised £53 million through the brewery’s Equity for Punks initiative. Should you wish to become an investor visit the Equity for Punks page. Investors receive priority booking at the hotel.

The location in Aberdeenshire will be the second DogHouse Hotel. Construction is already underway at BrewDog’s American brewery in Columbus, Ohio. Scheduled to open later this year, the Ohio hotel will have similar features as its Scottish counterpart. Even a beer-filled Jacuzzi.
It’s truly a room with a brew.
